Behavioural Approaches to Addiction Module 1 (BAA) JHB 29th, 30th and 31st July 2016
Course: Behavioural Approaches to Addiction (BAA)

Description: Module 1 has its roots in the Carl Rogers Person-Centred approach. The Jellineck curve, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Erik Erikson’s stages of development and the stages of addiction are used to assist in developing a deeper understanding of behaviour in addiction. Carl Roger’s 19 Propositions will also be discussed in the context of addiction. This module focuses on the behaviour of an individual in addiction and also looks at skills which can assist one in managing these behaviours.
